Navigating Disneyland in a plus size body is a very different experience. Heck, navigating LIFE in a plus size body is a different experience. As a plus size woman who goes to the parks pretty much weekly, I wanted to create a guide to help other plus size people navigate comfortably. These recommendations came from a poll I did where I asked 300 plus size people what they use when visiting Disneyland. I wanted to make sure I had a great list with something for everyone! Below you will find tips in regards to what to wear to have a comfortable trip, the best places to rest, what rides you will likely fit comfortably on, and the best places to eat when visiting Disneyland and Disney California Adventure as a plus size individual.
I have created custom Amazon links for all of the recommendations.
All of these links are clickable to make shopping for them easier.

What rides will I fit on?
This all depends of course on your body type. However, Disneyland is VERY plus size friendly. I am a size 22 and have attended Disneyland with someone else who had a 54″ waist. Both of us were able to fit on every single ride with the exception of 2 and both are in Disney’s California Adventure- Goofy’s sky school and Golden Zephyr.
NOTE- Golden Zephyr does offer a seat belt extender but you would have to ride alone.
A lot of the older rides in Fantasyland have turnstiles that I would not say are plus size friendly. You can go up to the cast member at the exit of those rides and let them know that you are unable to do the turnstile. They will have you enter through an alternative route.
